JOBS
Project funded by USAID Bangladesh and implemented by the
IRIS Center at the University of Maryland, recently
conducted a 7-day long “Entrepreneurship Development and
Business Management (EDBM) Training” for 14 entrepreneurs of
Thanapara Swallows Development Society (TSDS), Rajshahi.
TSDS is a renewed NGO working for the emancipation of the
poverty since 1973 in Rajshahi Division.
This course
was especially designed considering the need of TSDS
entrepreneurs on business planning, market survey and
business selection procedure, financial management, business
management and improving marketing linkages and selling
skill capacity. The objective of the course was to enhance
participants’ capacity in the above areas for the better and
effective management of their business/ enterprise.
To address
the anticipated objectives of the participants JOBS
conducted the training at TSDS office premises, in Rajshahi,
from 21-27 June 2004.
The 7-day
long training course was ended with certificate awarding
ceremony. Mr. S M Shahidullah, Manager Training JOBS Project
and Ms. Mahmuda Begum, Assistant Director, TSDS jointly
awarded the participants with certificates. Ms. Mafruha
Alam, Deputy Manager Training, JOBS Project and Mr. Sariful
Islam of TSDS were present in the event.

Manager Training, JOBS USAID Project conducted the course.
