Zaman Khan is currently working
as Head of Admin & Contracts. His major responsibilities
include office administration, logistic and infrastructure
support services, personnel of JOBS and Contract Management
for the stakeholders. In addition to these he is also
responsible for the research initiatives in Bangladesh taken
by the IRIS Center at the University of Maryland.
Zaman has been working in the field of
socio-economic and strategic development of the poor and
vulnerable since 1984. He has been working for JOBS to
implement its Micro Enterprise (ME) development program both
at private and NGO sectors since 1999. His efforts were
centered to develop markets for MEs, to response to demand and
supply side constraints through ME Cluster development
and establishing permanent business relationship with buyers
and producers.
He worked for Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA) between 1991 and 1999, to supports
development projects. He was heavily involved in getting
positive results in economic development of the poor,
education for the children, gender equality, human rights,
environmental development, and to make people responsive to
democratic development.
Worked for International Center for
Diarrhoeal Disease Research Bangladesh (ICDDRB, B), a World
Health Organization (WHO) affiliated development agency for
six years and was responsible for efficient operations and
management of research interventions.
Mr. Khan has a wider knowledge and
understanding on integrated socio-economic development issues,
strategic issues related to gender, environment ,human rights
and good governance. He is experienced in Participatory
Program Planning, Designing and Operations, Performance
monitoring and Evaluation, social and Gender Analysis, Result
Based Program Management, Enterprises Development, Reporting
and Documentation.
